so what are all the reasons that individuals should contribute and edit at Encyc? Wikademia
- Lots. For example:
- Fun to write encyclopedia articles with a group
- Prevent WMF from having a monopoly on wiki encyclopedias
- Share information that isn't welcome on Wikipedia
- Write an encyclopedia that is comprehensible to the average reader (high school reading level)
- Write your way, without very much interference from management
- Freedom from Wikipedia jargon, e.g. PROD, RfC, Semi-protect, etc.
- Simplified wiki code, without extensive templates and programming knowledge required to participate
