'''Typecell''' is a music producer and DJ, who specializes in [[drum and bass]] music, who lives in [[Germany]]. 

He started his career around 1992 under the alias ''P.M.C''. He started producing in 1996; his first official releases were put out on his own imprint, ''Genetic Rhythm Records'' and were followed by more releases on other labels such as ''Bonzai Records / N.E.W.S.'' ''ed Alert Records'', ''Thunderdom'', ''House Nation'' and others. In 2000 he chose to use the nickname ''Typecell'' for his more experimental tracks, which were a fusion of [[techno]] and drum and bass. 

Around 2002 he started up his drum and bass record label ''[[Protogen Records]]''.
