'''DTV''' stands for '''Digital television'''. In the [[USA]] there is only DTV now; there is no more analog TV. However, analog TV remains in many other countries. The reason the change was made was so that more channels could be broadcast over the same bandwidth. The problem with digital television is reduced range. Many channels don't reach as far as they did when television was analog.
